“Rainbow in Your Mouth”
I know, it doesn’t look very much like a rainbow, does it? That would be very much on purpose. When I asked my wife what kind of cocktail she was in the mood for and she replied, “A rainbow in my mouth,” I immediately cringed, imagining some God awful juice concoction at a TGIFriday or something of the like. So, I decided, yes, I will makes this drink, but it will be all about ‘tasting the rainbow’ (do I need to TM Skittles for saying that?) instead of seeing the rainbow.
So, I obtained 8 unique liquors and a specific bitters to accompany them to create this delicately blanched martini.
HOW TO MAKE
2oz. Tanqueray Gin
.5oz Dry Vermouth
.25oz Sloe Gin
.25oz Strega
.25oz Maraschino Liquer
2tsp. Velvet Falernum
1tsp. Cyanar
1tsp. Benedictine
8 dashes Moroccan Bitters
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Stir vigorously for 15-20 seconds. Strain into a martini glass.
